Papplewick and Linby Cricket Club
The Cricket Club play at the Papplewick Hall ground. To quote the club website: ” You may travel the length and breadth of England, nowhere will you find a more beautiful setting for the game of cricket than our ground behind Papplewick Hall. Horse-chestnut, ancient Yews, Larch and Scotch Fir surround the ground, with the Hall and Church in the background, the old pavilion in its thatched splendour, and in the centre is the square with the old Oak standing guard. This scene is the home of our Cricket Club.”
