The Griffin's Head is the village pub. It is believed to be over 300 years old and is a listed building in the conservation area of Papplewick. It is named after the symbol which appeared on the coat-of-arms of the Montagu family - who were major landowners in the area until the 20th century.

Morton's farm is a listed building in the Papplewick conservation area. It is a traditional, family run tearooms with the essence of home baked goods and produce. 57 Main Street, Papplewick

The Toy Room is a self-catering holiday cottage located on a working farm in Papplewick. It sleeps two people (Super King-Size or Twin). Pets are not allowed.

The Village Hall comprises of the Evelyn Gray Hall, which has a capacity of 200 and the Bradbury Suite, a comfortable lounge/bar area with a capacity of 50.
There is also a well equipped kitchen, plenty of parking and a cleaning package which will allow you to relax and enjoy your evening.
With regular uses everyday of the week we have various classes that you can join, ranging from Yoga to Bridge.

A family run Nursery providing top quality plants, compost, hanging baskets, tubs, & tomato plants.

The village is served by the Trent Barton 141 service, which links with Nottingham and Mansfield. The bus service runs hourly in each direction until the early evening (except Sunday).

Buses run along the A60 linking to Nottingham and Mansfield/Chesterfield. There is a frequent service provided by Stagecoach.

Gedling Borough Council is responsible for street cleaning, planning and building control services, housing services, bin collections and recycling. Papplewick is in the Newstead ward, represented by three Borough Councillors.

Nottinghamshire County Council is responsible for roads and street lighting, flood risk, strategic planning and the environment, education and social care. Papplewick is represented by one County Councillor in the Newstead ward.
